A Chicago film festival has scheduled to screen Iranian director Mohammad Hamzei’s film ‘Azar’.
Mohammad Hamzei’s film will be screened during the 28th Annual Festival of Films from Iran.
‘Azar’ tells the story of a woman whose husband is in jail, as she tries to manage the café restaurant she opened with her husband. She also tries to compromise to get her husband released, but things are not going as planned.
The film is Iranian actress Niki Karimi’s second production after ‘Night Shift’ besides directing some movies.
Niki Karimi, Hamidreza Azarang, Farid Sajjadi Hosseini, Hasti Mahdavi, Leila Zare, Maedeh Tahmasbi, Pejman Jamshidi and Houman Seyyedi are among the movie's cast.
Some other Iranian films featured in this cinematic event include ‘24 Frames’ by the well-known director Abbas Kiarostami and ‘Negar’ directed by Rambod Javan.
The 28th Annual Festival of Films from Iran is being held in the city of Chicago from February 3 to March 1.
